Bull Dogs

The English Bull Dog

Although the English Bulldog's appearance can be somewhat intimidating, it is among the gentlest of dogs. It is described as a very affectionate and dependable animal, gentle with children, but known for its courage and its excellent guarding abilities. Bullheaded and determined, this breed can be very persistent. Bulldogs are very much a people's dog, seeking out human attention and loving every bit it can get!! A lot of human attention is required for the breed's happiness. A Bulldog who understands its place in the human pack is nice to, and reliable with all people. This breed is good with the family pet. When Bulldogs are young, they are full of energy, but slow down as they get older. They snore very loudly, most have drool and slobber tendencies and are messy eaters.

The French Bull Dog

French Bulldogs are companion dogs. They are not a kennel dog, they need human love, affection and companionship and they will not thrive without it.

They are a breed with a strong desire to please and most importantly the requirement to be part of a family.

They are intelligent dogs with a mischievous side and clown like attitude.

They can become possessive of their owners and may not want to share them . Kind but firm direction may be required with some Frenchies as they occasionally need to be reminded who is the boss.

Supervised they enjoy playing with children.
